Dear veterans! We want to thank you for everything that you had done for us. Thank you for the clear sky above our heads, for freedom, for life. If you hadn’t been so brave and strong, we could not live in a free country now. We are proud, that we live in Russia. We are proud of our great- grandparents, who defended our motherland and won the war. We have heard a lot of the feats of Russia soldiers, and these stories are fascinating and even frightening. The fact, which scares most of all, is that even children had to fight against aggressors. People lost their relatives and friends. “Every member of my family – men and women, and even teenagers who could bear arms – fought the damned Nazis fiercely defending our Motherland.
